SECOND BOOK
Clarity: My Proposition 48… From Setback to Success
This book is about Clarity and what it takes to yearn, discover, and embrace it. In this book I share some harsh truths about success. Success is nothing more than a portfolio of failures neatly packaged together and designed to enter your life at the right time. In this book I reveal to you what it takes to ignite the fire and desire to melt away the collection of frozen aspirations that once existed in my life. My Proposition 48…from Setback to Success is a true testament on how to decrease the distance between problems and solutions by vigorously running towards your problems. Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines. This text represents parallels on how my life’s aspirations mirrored my little league, high school, college and professional football aspirations.

Father to Son: The Dream Preferred

Father to Son Poem
Kevin Harris, Sr., Ed. D.
Well son, I’ll tell you, Life for me is a date with Destiny,
My only assignment is to continue to give you the best of me.
Growing up in poverty and despair, I had the audacity to dare.
Dare to dream, through the days of joy and the years of pain,
Live and Learn but never live in shame or in vein.
Take heed to my F.E.A.R., as in, Face Everything And Rise,
As Lust, Hate, Greed, and Envy are right before your eyes.
Look to the hills but keep your eyes on the prize,
Watch out for the devil… always in disguise.
I have raised my glass and said, Cheers!
Over the years enjoyed my fair share of beers,
Embraced my tragedies and triumphs as they too brought me to tears.
Live your life nobly and never second guess me,
The fruits of your wealth are deeply rooted in my tree.
Life for me is a date with Destiny,
Through you, let the world know God has blessed me.
