ABOUT ME

Author, Speaker, Leadership Coach and Certified Life Coach, Dr. Kevin Harris, Sr., is an expert in K-12 educational leadership and earned the reputation as a school turnaround leader. He is a Thought-Provoking Leader in the areas of Educational Leadership & Youth Development. He is a published author of two books (Reflections of the Journey: An Interactive Guide to Help Individuals Discover and Sustain greatness and CLARITY: My Proposition 48… From Setback to Success) Now in his twenty-ninth year in education he is the Founder and CEO of Harris Enterprise International, LLC; a K-12 educational consulting firm.

As a result of his leadership, Dr. Harris has received local, state, and national recognition from the Secretary of State (GA) 2017 Outstanding Georgia Citizen, 2017-2018 Omega Man of the Year (DMM), Alliance of Black School Educators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, The Georgia Department of Education, Newsweek Magazine 2009 & 2010–Nations Top 6 percent Public Schools, Hampton University President; Dr. William Harvey, and the late US Senator Johnny Issacson (GA) to name a few.

Building on well-established ideals, Dr. Harris found a way to make people understand the inner workings of the personal and professional improvements through seminars, trainings, and workshops. As a Keynote speaker and seminar leader, he addresses thousands of people each year. He has studied, researched, trained and conducted seminars in the fields of K-12 education, school leadership, black male achievement, college entrance/graduation, high stakes testing, poverty and sociology over the last 25 years. He speaks to corporate and public audiences in the areas of Personal and Professional Development, including the executives and staff of many of America’s largest school systems. He trains on standard concepts that anyone can adopt regardless of their station in life. He gives practical ideas and strategies that empower people to take control of their lives and find clarity.

Dr. Harris was just recently enshrined as a Class of 2019 Inductee of the Woodrow Wilson High School Hall of Fame on May 26, 2019. A 2-time All-City Gridiron standout at Quarterback, Dr. Harris earned Varsity Football Letters as a 4-year starter and captain. He owns just about every offensive record in the school’s football history while playing quarterback for just 2 years, he ranks 3rd in interceptions behind his classmate Dr. Tony Robinson and Terrance Tubbs. Dr. Harris was an active leader in school. He served as a cabinet leader of the Student Council and served in various roles with other student organizations. He also earned 2 Varsity Basketball Letters and received numerous awards and recognition to include All-Star Football Game MVP and personal letters of accolade from former Ohio State Senator Harry Meshal and the late Ohio 17th District Congressman, James Traficant, Jr. Dr. Harris was a NFL Free Agent with the Denver Broncos in 1993.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Harris received his bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from Kent State University, his masters’ degree (M. Ed.) from Cleveland State University, his doctorate degree (Ed. D.) from Howard University, and is a Certified Life Coach through the International Coaching Science Research Foundation #3894748.
